About
Tom is a Mentor-in-Residence with Duke New Ventures. Tom has over 30 years of pharmaceutical experience including 25 years with GSK and ViiV Healthcare in US and Global leadership roles across marketing, sales, portfolio strategy and enterprise services. He has extensive product development experience, having worked closely with R&D to provide market insights and direction into all clinical trial phases across multiple therapeutic areas including HIV, Depression, CV, Antibiotics, and Smoking Cessation. Tom has led or been involved in 12 product launches, at one point leading 4 launches in 5 years, and provides expertise in market insights, drug differentiation, aligning development plans, negotiating product labels and launching brands. Tom brings a practical approach with a focus on differentiated products with value to patients, clinicians, and payors. Tom is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and The Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia and serves on the Board of CAN Community Health.
