Extellis developed a patented metasurface antenna technology that enables rapid, horizon-to-horizon beamsteering from a lightweight, low-cost platform requiring minimal control power. Originating from a decade of government-sponsored research at Duke University with $3.3M in non-dilutive funding, the technology was demonstrated outdoors in 2023 during a DARPA-sponsored program with commercial and government partners in Australia.
